You're Doing a Great Job

I don’t know about you but I’ve lost track of the days in quarantine, some of them blurring together. A long, unexpected season no doubt, but there has been so much painful beauty growing in it. If you feel like you’re stuck, slowly drowning into the depths of this unknown, remember that you’re doing a great job. Don’t give up.

Beautiful friend, you’re so loved. Even when you don’t feel like it, you are. The same person who paints the world with wondrous color, made you for such a time as this. You’re doing a great job. There is simply no flaw in you. From the shapes and curves that make up your body, to the unique thoughts that flow through your mind and heart- God designed you perfectly. The mess you frown at in the mirror is the beautiful creation God smiles at. Even though the days blur together, He has a plan for each of them. From rest, to work, He is giving you the strength to do all of it. Don’t feel bad for taking a break, God often has to make us lie down and rest. Today, take that nap. Go to bed early. Just rest in Him. The heaviness you feel in your heart from the isolation and loneliness are not wasted, they’re an invitation for the new. New conversation. New company. Your Father longs to talk with you, just a simple conversation between you and Him. When’s the last time you just sat down and talked honestly with God? He never judges you. He doesn’t see your mistakes, in fact that mistake you’re holding onto is being made into a miracle right now. When you lay in bed, take a shower, go for a walk- tell Him your doubts, fears, dreams and desires. He wants to know all of them, and after you’re done letting it all out, stay still and listen. God will pour out His dreams for your life into your heart. How amazing is it that the God who dreamed and created everything around you, will make the dreams He has for your life come true when you allow Him to. Don’t give up, keep going because the plans He has created for your life don’t end here. Beyond this season He plans to use you in ways you never imagined. The hidden gifts you have are growing in this season of intimacy and will be used to spread the love and Glory of Jesus. Just you wait.
